It was hard not to be skeptical while sitting across from a woman who swore she saw colors and energy emanating from my body. My first instinct was to give her a twenty and tell her to take the next bus to the local loony bin. But when she started nailing personality traits, current relationships and future ventures and desires, it was hard not to become a believer. She told me of past lives I’d lived (an Egyptian worker and an Indian woman). She got very excited when she told me that my boss was about to give me a raise (wait a second, how did that get in here?) Add to that a warm personality and a positive outlook, and I found myself listening a little bit more closely.
In a world full of people who claim to know what the future has to hold, Jusstine Kenzer has made herself a bit of an icon. When starting her site www.psychicgirl.com, she had no idea what the response would be. Now she’s lucky if she gets an hour of free time for herself. User comments on the site are nothing but stellar. In fact, through a prediction made for Hennessy, Jusstine gained acclaim for predicting the first person Nicole Kidman would be seen with after her divorce announcement (Russell Crowe). Jusstine also does person-to-person VIP readings in Los Angeles, where she resides. Her advice is useful and guides her clients into a more spiritual lifestyle and awakening. While she may not have the name recognition of Dionne Warwick and her psychic friends, something tells me that Jusstine might just be a bit more authentic.
High-prices therapists, watch out. Increasingly, sophisticated women who used to view psychics with cynicism are now seeking, and acting on, advice from the other side.
Another psychic capitalizing on the internet is Jusstine Kenzer, the 32-year-old behind www.psychicgirl.com, a site that proclaims its marketing strategy in bog, bold letters: “PsychicGirl, claiming a unique niche, targeting Gen X, Y and D with spirituality.” Kenzer’s online bio even plays up a statement from the San Francisco Chronicle: “Kenzer is a marketing queen.” (A psychic who unabashedly professes her own marketing genius? Well, if that isn’t portraying oneself as an intelligent woman’s psychic, I don’t know what is.) Kenzer Attributes the rising credibility of psychics to grass roots word of mouth. “Woman who have never consulted a psychic before will see a fiend try it with positive results and think, hey why not?”

Meg here! I’ve never been one of “those girls” that put really much stock in tarot cards or palm readers or psychics. I do believe in energy though. I think there is something to that whole “manifesting your future” bit.
Like a lot of you, I’ve had a pretty trying year. I don’t go to church but I say my prayers at night. I spend a lot of my time try to figure things out in my head. Too much time trying to make sense of things that are really not suppose to make sense. They just are what they are. When I was little my father would tell me “stop living in your head.”
A lot of the time it is great therapy to have megsmakeup because I can ask you all questions or look for guidance right here. I am never let down by the intelligent and brave answers that you’ll provide not just me but each other with. It’s always a good thing to be open to new experiences and when I got an email from Psychic Girl Justine Kenzer I was very excited to open it.
It’s L.A., I’ve been here for thirteen years. I’m in the loop. I know I said I’m not one of “those girls”, and I’m not. I am definitely 100% percent friends with a lot of “those girls” though. The girls that are always talking about their readings, or feng shui or what “the universe” is telling them. ?I had heard the name Justine Kenzer brought up more then a few times in those conversations
When I went to facebook to “friend” Justine it was no surprise to me that A. We were already friends B. We had more then 20 friends in common. Justine has also been splashed across every magazine from TIME to Glamour so you don’t have to be so into the spiritual world to have heard of her. If you’re in the celebrity world or following the celebrity world then you’ll know she’s the go-to for Teri Hatcher, Carmen Electra and Eva Longoria (just to name drop a few.)
We made an appointment to get together. I answered my door and Justine breezed right in, sat on the couch, took out her recorder and got down to business. Before we started she looked deeply at me. She told me that while she did consider herself a psychic, she really was a healer. With your permission she can stare right at you and see your aura. She saw immediately that my year was a painful one and that there was a rip in my aura. She started to work on healing that. Before she asked me any questions or gave me any answers she took in a deep breath, shook her head a little and said to me “You have got to stop trying to figure out things that can’t be figured out in your head! It’s too much! Stop doing that!”
One hour later she left my house and I guess I can say it. I am now officially “one of those girls.”

Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for your insightful reading and healing. Not only did I receive an emotional healing, but a physical one, too! Before crossing paths with you, just the mere thought of onions and garlic (and anything else from the allicin family) would give me instant heartburn. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I’ve consumed the aforementioned culprits, without any digestive ramifications. We love how you describe your work, as helping others to find answers and healing. Can you describe what one can expect from a reading? A first time reading with me lasts about 45 minutes. It isn’t about the timing for me but more about you getting all your questions answered. I read very quickly. You can ask anything you want as long as it’s in the form of a question. I’m able to give you super specifics fully describing what I see in regards to what or whom you’ve asked about. I’ve got a great track record at calling the future, helping people get over unhealthy relationships, and healing situations that one feels stuck on. I consider myself a transformationalist, meaning I help people change and get over big life issues, if they really want to.
When did you realize you were psychic or was this a conscious choice to become a psychic? I never woke up one day and wanted this as my profession. Who the heck wakes up and thinks, “Ya that sounds good, I think I will become a super sensitive freak of nature?”. I basically went looking to find myself and this is where it lead me. I now have an understanding that I obviously was born with a very special gift. I actually don’t think I had a chance to become anything but this. I resisted it for many years and only reluctantly accepted it when nothing else worked out.

If I do instant message anymore (most are by phone or in person) it usually ends up happening on my blackberry in airports or hotel rooms or by a pool!
Okay on to your closet, describe your look: I love clothes. My parents had shoe stores when I was growing up and I was making and selling clothing and jewelry by the time I was sixteen. I had my own clothing company before and at the start of this whole psychic thing. I defiantly have my own style, I dress kind of funky but chic and my signature is pretty much the off one shoulder look.
Can clothing retain a good or bad “energy”? Absolutely. Objects absorb energy and that includes your clothing. Color has a lot to do with affecting you as well. There is a reason why one feels like a million bucks in Gucci and not so hot in some raggy old thing from the Goodwill. I will eventually do a book on this called Psychic Style.
What is your favorite time period and why: Now! I love technology. I love that I live in a time where I can record your reading on my phone and send you an MP3 link, amazing isn’t it?
